February 2011:
We are very grateful to the Wicklow Local Sports Partnership for awarding us a grant for our Keep in Touch (KIT) initiative. KIT is a strategic plan
to get and keep non-playing members involved with Bray Hockey Club , through umpiring, volunteering, coaching etc. In particular, we are encouraging
anyone who may have extra time on their hands (e.g.retired/unemployed/stay-at-home parents) to get involved.
If you or someone you know are interested, please contact us.
We have already started to put the grant to good use - we took an ad in the Wicklow Times in the "join our club" feature and sponsored 4 places
on the Leinster Umpire course
Gilmore Sports are now stocking all our club gear and even have an online shop set up for us - check out www.hockeyireland.com
Don't forget our fundraiser Poker Night on Februrary 25th in The Martello!!!
January 2011: Welcome back after a very very long wintery break!
Matches and training are back in full swing, the committee had its first meeting of the year and there's even a few socials lined up (see calendar).
November 2010: The snow has taken us all by surprise so its every day at a time! Keep in touch with your captains and coaches about matches and rescheduling - and keep plenty of Saturdays free in the New Year for back matches!
September 2010: It's only a game - some friendly matches!
There's a few preseason friendly matches arranged so watch out for email updates or talk to your club captain. Ladies 1xi play away against TRR on August 28th, and then there's a range of home games for all ladies on September 4th against Avoca and then September 11th against Corinthians.
The Men will host one of the club's biggest fundraising social events on Friday 10th September with the Golf Day in Old Conna.
