It was a busy week of fixtures last week with mid-week matches taking place right the way through from Tuesday to Friday as well as a number of matches on Saturday.
On Tuesday night the Ladies 4ths travelled to Mullingar for their Cup Quarter Finals, it ended one a piece at full time with Hannah Darcy scoring. Unfortunately the 4ths bowed out of the cup losing the shoot-out 1-3, Annette Heffernan scoring at that stage.
The Ladies 1sts were also in action on Tuesday, with a short trip along the M50 to Rathfarnham. A fast paced and thrilling match saw Division 3 table toppers Loreto take the lead but Megan Shelley was not to be denied and equalised with a belter, bringing the Ladies home with a well earned point and keeping them in the mix in the top 3 of their league.
Wednesday night and it was the Ladies 3rds turn to travel, this time to Glasnevin to play Botanic. The game ended 0-1 to the home side.
The Mens 1sts had a much improved performance from the initial fixture last October against Three Rock, however they lost out 0-4 in the end.
The Vets continued their goal-scoring form with another comprehensive win, this time against Weston. Joanne Brock netted 4 with Kitty Murray and Louise Ryan scoring also to take home a 6-0 win and 3 more points to their tally.
It was just the 3rds in action on the Mens side on Saturday hosting our county neighbours Wicklow in Templecarrig. An excellent game with the spoils going to Bray, finishing 6-3, Adam Brennan with 4 and Jack Lacey Curtis and Jack Parker also on the mark.
The Ladies squads had a full roster on Saturday with all 5 sides in action. The 1sts had a good 3-1 win away to Genesis, Claire Prendergast, Lottie Willis and Saoirse Guilfoyle sharing the glory. The 2nds were away to Wexford and came home with a well earned point,, Ali Dawson-Whelan scoring. The Ladies 3rds came home from Terenure with 3 points after beating Our Lady's 3-1, Jenny Hughes, Megan Shelley and Rhona Baker all on the mark. It was a 1-1 draw for the 4ths against Loreto, Annette Heffernan on the scorecard and the 5ths lost 0-2 away to Portrane.
