A busy week of fixtures last week with a mixed bag of results.
On the Mens' side, the 1sts had a heavy 1-7 loss to. Jack Lacey-Curtis on the mark. The 2nds recorded a 3-1 win against Three Rock, Jack Lacey-Curtis scoring again with a brace from Simon Anglin. The Mens 3rds had a rest weekend.
On the Ladies side, the Ladies Vets recorded their first loss of the season under the lights on Friday with a 1-4 result against Rathgar. Libbry Bredin scored. Wednesday saw a similar result as they came home with no points from a mid-week fixture against Three Rock ending 2-4, goals from Caoimhe Guilfoyle and Janet O'Beirne.
The Ladies 1sts had a tough defeat against Lisnagarvey in the IHT, going down by 4 in the first 12 minutes before upping their performance significantly over the next 3 quarters, resulting in a 1-6 result in the end. Eimear Martin scored for the Ladies. Back in league action on Tuesday night last, Juliette King-Hall squeezed a reverse shot through the legs of the keeper in the dying minutes to secure a 1-1 draw and an important and deserved point in Division 2.
Back to Saturday, The 2nds beat UCD 3-0 with two from Claire Prendergast and the third from Cheryl O'Toole. The Ladies 3rds had a free weekend whilst the 4ths had a good 2-0 away to Malahide Fingal, Faith Brock and Caroline Kennedy on the scoreboard. The Ladies 5ths bowed out of the Division 11-13 Cup with a 0-3 loss to Enniscorthy.
